The government of India has given airlines the go-ahead to resume their services, as of the 25th of May. After almost 2 months of flights being suspended, the recommencement of air travel will come with its own set of changes. What is being described as the new flight experience, travellers will have to adhere to strict protocols relating to safety and punctuality. 2. The Lucky Labour Pool 

Quick service restaurants are all set to hire employees within the areas of delivery, customer service, digital marketing and business analysis. With most restaurants being shut and their recovery expected to be gradual post lock down, demand for talent with certain skills like managing deliveries and providing customer service through technology, is expected to increase manifold across fast food brands. 3. Amazon Plays Chef

As if Swiggy and Zomato weren’t in intense rivalry already, mighty Amazon.com Inc has decided to foray into the food delivery space in India. The ecommerce giant is promising its customers free and contactless delivery, along with the strictest safety parameters, partnering with hygiene certified restaurants only. Amazon Food is being launched in selected areas of Bangalore city, including Bellandur, Haralur, Marathahalli and Whitefield. This comes at a time when the food delivery market is expected to quadruple, with a forecasted valuation of $2.5 billion by 2021. Read more here…

4. ‘Lock During Lockdown’ – A Facebook India Initiative

Facebook just launched a new safety feature in India, that will enable users to “lock” their profiles completely. Through this latest move by the technology giant, users will be able to protect their privacy, with only friends being able to access their posts, photos, and videos. The aim is to empower people, especially women, to have agency over their own Facebook experience and online presence. “We are committed to providing a safe platform for people to express themselves”, said Aankhi Das, Policy Director, Facebook India. Thomas Cook (India) Ltd. along with its subsidiary SOTC Travel Ltd., just released a report on the future of Indian travel, post Covid-19. The Holiday Readiness Travel Report is a result of extensive primary research collected from over 2,500 consumers across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India.
